Notes
In total, 4,576 stays were registered at 80 universities from 2007 to 2011. Of these 80 universities, 79 were eligible to be included in the weighted rankings. This table only includes universities with at least five W3/C4 professors. 4,574 of the total number of 4,576 stays were undertaken at these 79 institutions.
The TOP 20 German universities were calculated on the basis of the largest number of researchers hosted per 100 professors. 2,789 of the research stays undertaken by Humboldt Guest Researchers (2,281 stays by research fellows and 508 stays by award winners) took place at these universities.
