In total, 1,461 stays at 65 universities were registered in the Humanities and Social Sciences from 2007 to 2011. Of these 65 universities, it was possible to include 64 in the weighted rankings. 1,455 of the total number of 1,461 stays were undertaken at these 65 institutions.
The TOP 20 German universities were calculated on the basis of the largest number of researchers hosted per 100 professors. 1,144 of the research stays undertaken by Humboldt Guest Researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences took place at these universities.
