Sponsorship of Renewed Research Stays in Germany

Hint

Information in the context of the coronavirus pandemic:

The Foundation is accepting applications for this sponsorship measure again after a temporary pause due to lockdowns and travel restrictions. However, we will only process your application once the travel regulations for your respective home country or country of residence allow you to actually undertake the planned stay. We therefore kindly request to wait with your applications until the respective restrictions have been lifted. This also applies to stays planned for 2021. We ask for your understanding.

For additional information on frequently asked questions in the context of the pandemic please visit our FAQ on this subject.

In order to intensify academic collaborations with members of the Humboldt Network abroad or in Germany, Feodor Lynen alumni as well as recipients of JSPS and MOST (Taiwan) Research Fellowships are eligible for the sponsorship opportunities outlined below.

Members of the Humboldt Network abroad or in Germany do not necessarily have to have hosted the alumni during their first research stay. The Humboldt Foundation welcomes a decision by Feodor Lynen Fellows to go to collaborative partners in developing countries and emerging economies.

Alumni of the Feodor Lynen, JSPS and MOST (Taiwan) Research Fellowship Programmes, who are permanently working abroad or have a tenured position at a research institution abroad, are eligible to apply for sponsorship of a research visit in Germany.
