Nominator's project description
| Professor Marshall, an internationally renowned ecologist, has made numerous innovative contributions in the fields of forest hydrology, ecosystem ecology, and tree ecophysiology. His multidisciplinary approach has led to the use of stable isotopes to measure carbon and water uptake and metabolism of leaves, trees and forests. In Germany, Professor Marshall will promote the use of these isotopic techniques to study the carbon and water budget of carbon. |
