Every year, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables more than 2,000 researchers from all over the world to spend time conducting research in Germany. The Foundation maintains an interdisciplinary network of well over 30,000 Humboldtians in more than 140 countries around the world – including 61 Nobel Prize winners.

The Foundation is accepting applications for this sponsorship measure again after a temporary pause due to lockdowns and travel restrictions. However, we will only process your application once the travel regulations for your respective home country or country of residence allow you to actually undertake the planned stay. We therefore kindly request to wait with your applications until the respective restrictions have been lifted. We ask for your understanding.

This symposium is part of the Frontiers of Research Programme of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
