| Professor Winter is the world's leading scientist in quantum information theory. He has made fundamental contributions to the understanding of quantum information with far-reaching consequences in electrical engineering and computer science for the future fields of quantum communication and quantum computing. During his stay in Germany, he will work on the scientific foundations of quantum communication as well as topics of national importance, such as information theoretical foundations of 6G. |
