Newsletter 4/2011

Dear readers,
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s sponsorship activities seek to create a framework in which every single Humboldtian can profit from his or her research stay in Germany, both academically and personally, and cooperate successfully with a German host. In the new “Focus on Germany” study, we have evaluated feedback on the years 2007 to 2010 which reveals to what extent Humboldtians think our efforts have been successful. Just how important international researcher networks are, not only for addressing urgent, global problems but also in the context of political consultancy, was emphasized by Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel in her formal address to Humboldtians at this year’s Annual Meeting in Berlin. You will discover interesting articles on this and other topics from the Humboldt Foundation’s worldwide network in our new newsletter. Happy reading!
