Norbert Langer gehört seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten zu den international führenden Experten auf dem Gebiet der theoretischen Astrophysik. Er erforscht die Entwicklung massereicher Sterne bis hin zu ihrer Explosion als Supernovae. Mit seiner Expertise schließt er eine Lücke innerhalb der Bonner Astronomie und ergänzt so das vorhandene wissenschaftliche Portfolio.
