The Konrad Adenauer Research Award was funded by the Federal Foreign Office and has been presented annually by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from 1989 to 2025. Named for Germany’s first federal chancellor, this award honoured the academic record of an internationally recognised researcher from Canada. The Adenauer Research Award was designed to strengthen academic and cultural relations between Canada and Germany.
