Nominator's project description
Prof. Pulickel Ajayan is well known internationally for his studies on nanowires. The results he achieved are of basic significance for our present understanding of these materials. His pioneering work on the production of carbon nanotubes has won worldwide recognition and is extremely important for developing emerging technologies. During his stay in Germany he intends to focus on the development of hybrid-nanowires for electronic applications. |
