Nominator's project description
| Professor Bauer has been a pioneer in surface science and epitaxial growth studies as well as the leading scientist in Low Energy Electron Microscopy (LEEM) and other electron based imaging techniques. He made the key contribution to establish LEEM including the exploitation of spin polarization as a surface technique. While in Germany, he will be involved in studies of oxide surfaces and their interaction with adsorbates. |
