Nominator's project description
Professor Berger is an internationally recognized authority in musicology and music aesthetics. After path-breaking studies on "Musica ficta" of the Renaissance period and a general "Theory of Art" he focuses on the development of musical modernity, starting with studies on J.S. Bach and W.A. Mozart. During his stay in Germany, he will continue his research for his new book on 19th century music. |
