Nominator's project description
| Professor Bursche is an internationally renowned archaeologist and numismatist who knows better than almost anyone how to overcome disciplinary boundaries and combine academic disciplines. His works on Roman-Barbarian relations in Late Antiquity are fundamental. Completely new perspectives on this topic were opened up with Professor Bursche’s studies on the roots of Germanic coinage. In Germany, he will summarise and conclude this work with a comprehensive monograph. |
