Nominator's project description
| Professor Chandrasekhar has significantly contributed to main group chemistry. Specifically to the following areas: New polymers based on inorganic and organic backbones for specific applications such as polymer electrolytes, polymer supported catalysts, and polymer precursors for ceramics. Moreover, he contributed excellent results to inorganic rings as motifs for the assembly of multi-site coordination ligands and the development of new synthons to assemble rings and clusters containing Si-O-M, Sn-O-M and P-O-M building units. Professor Chandrasekhar has established himself as one of the leading main group chemists in India. |
