Nominator's project description
Professor Feng is an internationally leading expert in AI-based neuroscience. As head of the Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-Inspired Intelligence (ISTBI), Fudan University, he pioneered computational simulation of the entire human brain. His research on neurodevelopment trajectories in schizophrenia revealed neurobiological subtypes for precision medicine. During his stay in Germany, he will integrate computational models of neuroanatomy and human behavior with intensive longitudinal datasets regarding climate and social variables impacting on mental health. Prof. Feng will use AI-based dimensional assessments and neurobiologically defined subtyping for targeted interventions including brain stimulation techniques, pharmacological and behavioural therapy. |
