Nominator's project description
| Professor Janmey is an international authority in the study of cytoskeletal mechanics of living cells. He is one of the leading biophysicists who recognized the importance of mechanics in the function of living cells. Professor Janmey combines his expertise in chemistry, physics and life sciences to elucidate the basic principles of cellular functions. During his stay in Germany, he will focus on the "Mechanical properties and active movement of neurofilaments". |
