Nominator's project description

Steven Neil Mason is working at the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. His main research field is the interaction of different cultures, languages and religions in the eastern part of the Roman Empire in Hellenistic and Roman times. He is an expert on the life and writings of the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus (1st century A.D.). The common enterprise during Steve Mason's research stay in Berlin is a historiographical project, dealing with Jewish and Christian historiography in antiquity.
