Nominator's project description
Professor Meng is a world-leading scientist in nuclear physics. He has performed important work in this challenging field and has an excellent reputation. He has made seminal contributions to the establishment of covariant density functional theory for novel nuclear phenomena, concerning chiral symmetry in atomic nuclei, and for relativistic ab initio calculations. During his stay in Germany, he intends to elaborate on ab inito investigations leading to a better understanding of strongly interacting complex nuclear systems. |
