Nominator's project description
| The Award is given in recognition of his past accomplishments in nanoparticle research, in particular, for the development of instruments and tools to produce, measure and manipulate nanoparticles. He and Professor H. Fissan of the University of Duisburg have organized three US National Science Foundation and European Science Foundation Joint Symposia on Nanoparticles to promote collaboration across the continents. His current research collaboration will result in a new approach to measure total particle surface area for health effect assessment. |
