Nominator's project description
| Professor Robinson is internationally renowned for his outstanding research in the main group chemistry. He has made seminal contributions to the chemistry of multiply-bonded heavy main group elements. Professor Robinson has discovered that N-heterocyclic carbenes can be employed to stabilize highly reactive molecules at room temperature including diatomic silicon, phosphorus and arsenic. In Germany he continues his research on the advancement of fundamental aspects of structure and bonding theory in main group chemistry. |
