Nominator's project description
| Professor Rohwer is an internationally highly recognized Analytical Chemist. He is well known for many original contributions in mass spectrometry and advanced separation sciences. Prof. Rohwer always combined the development of analytical technology and instrumentation with applications which are highly relevant for his country. He is cofounder and member of the South African Association for Mass Spectrometry (SAAMS) and the Chromatography subject section of SACI (ChromSA). Within the cooperations he established in Germany, he combined his new chromatographic methods as well as sampling approaches with laser-based mass spectrometry or comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography. He will continue this work in Germany. |
