| Professor Dr. Gary Hieftje, Bloomington/U.S.A. has a worldwide reputation for cutting edge contributions to analytical as well as measurement and instrumentation sciences. In these fields he intensively cooperates with the Institute for Analytical Sciences, Dortmund, and the universities of Dortmund, Leipzig and presently Hamburg. These institution's staff member visits in Bloomington resulted in frontier research especially on time-of-flight mass spectrometry, microwave and glow discharge plasmas. |
