Nominator's project description

Professor Georenstein is known for his consistent applications of the methods of quantum statistical mechanics to complex, multi-component elementary matter. The equation of state and, in particular, the phase transitions of such matter are fundamental to our understanding of the creation of our world in its initial phase. The connection of theoretical concepts with experimental observations in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions is a central issue in his present and future research.
