Nominator's project description
| Professor Zohdi is well known internationally for his outstanding research in computational mechanics and material modeling. He has made key contributions to micromechanical material design, particulate flow, and the mechanics of high-strength fabrics, with emphasis on computational approaches for novel manufacturing and nonconvex multiscale-multiphysics inverse problems. During his stay in Germany, he plans to work on the further development of the so-called Material Point Method for advanced applications. |
