Nominator's project description
| Professor Salomon is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the field of ultracold quantum gases and metrology. He is one of the pioneers in exploring the behaviour of ultracold atoms in optical lattices and in realizing novel phases of matter using ultracold fermionic quantum gases. Furthermore, he is one the leaders of an international consortium for the construction of a next generation space based atomic clock. During his stay in Germany, he plans to collaborate with teams working in both of these fields. |
