Nominator's project description

Professor Heger is a leading expert in the fields of stellar physics, supernovae, and nucleosynthesis. He is well known for his important contributions to our understanding of massive stars in the early universe, and for mapping the pollution of the oldest stars in the Milky Way with newly synthesised elements. During his research stay in Germany, he will apply his knowledge and techniques to the evolution and nucleosynthesis of interaction binary stars.
