Nominator's project description
| Professor Kifer is one of the world's leading researchers in probability theory and dynamical systems. After having received his PhD at Moscow State University in 1974, he immigrated to Israel and is presently Professor at Hebrew University. His many lasting scientific achievements are contained in about 90 papers and two monographs. Kolmogorov would be pleased with his scientific grandson, and the German mathematical community is looking forward to having Kifer in Germany for such an extended period. |
