Nominator's project description
| Professor Lehrer is one of the most outstanding mathematicians, his scientific work is well-known worldwide. He is ARC Senior Research Fellow and Professor of Pure Mathematics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Sydney. Professor Lehrer has received many distinguished awards such as a Fellowship of the Australian Academy of Science since 1997 and Australian Research Council Senior Research Fellowship 1999-2004. His mathematical achievements are centered around various algebraic and geometrical problems like character theory of special linear groups or Howlett-Lehrer decomposition theory. He is an author of about 65 publications, many of which are considered as main reference in his field. |
