Nominator's project description
| Professor Maciej Lewenstein from the Institute of Photonic Sciences, Spain Professor Lewenstein is very well known internationally for his oustanding reaserch in theoretical quantum optics and quantum information. He has made important contributions to the theory of entanglement and of cold gases at ultralow temperatures. Professor Lewenstein has also worked in many other fields, ranging from statistical physics to strong field atomic theory. In Germany he will concentrate his research effort on the study of quantum networks and strongly correlation effects in atomic systems. |
