Nominator's project description
| Professor Gruverman is internationally renowned for his pioneering contribution to the development of piezoresponse force microscopy and for his fundamental studies of nanoscale physical phenomena in ferroelectrics. Among his major accomplishments are the manipulation of ferroelectric domains at the nanoscale, the study of their switching dynamics, and the demonstration of tunneling electroresistance in ultrathin ferroelectrics. In Germany, he works on HfO2-based ferroelectric devices and the properties of low-dimensional ferroelectrics. |
