Nominator's project description
| Professor Zhou is well known internationally for his outstanding contributions to the theory of Petri nets and their application in manufacturing, transportation, and information systems. He developed a range of methods for scheduling and fault detection. His recent works are devoted to the distributed control of large scale automated manufacturing systems modeled with Petri nets and the automatic composition of semantic web services. In Germany, Professor Zhou will continue his research with special focus on semantic and model-based engineering of manufacturing systems in the context of “Industrie 4.0”. |
