Nominator's project description
| Professor Kev Salikov receives the Humboldt Research Award in recognition of his landmark contributions to the field of spin dynamics in light-induced cemical reactions. His research plans for Berlin intend to provide urgent theoretical escort to recent significant experimental achievements in understanding both charge transfer and spin dynamics in plant photosynthesis and in other photoreactive systems. Spin dynamics of radical pair intermediates show "the proteins at work". Major impact for DFG supported research programms(Sfb 498, SPP 1051) can be expected. |
