Nominator's project description
| Professor Radyushkin has performed pioneering work in elmentary particle and nuclear physics. He studied in particular Quantum Chromodynamics. This is the theory of the strong interaction between quarks and gluons, which are the fundamental constituents of the nucleons in the atomic nucleus. Professor Radyushkin has derived important factorization theorems, which are extremely important for the interpretation of large scale accelerator experiments on the structure of nucleons. Furthermore he made important contributions to sum rules of the Quantum Chromodynamics and to the formulation of wave functions of hadrons. |
