Nominator's project description
| Dr. Tomsia has made fundamental and technologically relevant contributions in the area of wetting of materials by liquids and solids. He has conducted outstanding experiments that have led to a better experimental and theoretical understanding of wetting. His activities have inspired ongoing research work all over the world. Recently, he has become strongly involved in biomaterials with emphasis on replacement and compatibility of artificial bones in the human body. |
