Nominator's project description

Professor Simo is a leading international scholar in the field of German Studies. He has made important contributions both to the development of postcolonial theory and to the study of a wide range of German authors and their understanding of intercultural relations. More recently he connects the study of globalization processes in the cultural field with his specialization as a historian of literature and focuses on African perspectives towards global trends. During his stay in Germany he will work on the intercultural relations between Europe and Africa from a postcolonial perspective.
