Nominator's project description

Professor Zilcosky is an internationally acclaimed authority in the fields of German Studies and Comparative Literature and esteemed for his great philological knowledge and methodological precision. His research area embraces German literature from the age of Goethe to the present, with special expertise in the work of Franz Kafka. During his stay in Germany he will work on two book projects: one about the cultural history of wrestling, the other a revision of his major essays on Kafka.
