Nominator's project description

Professor Zinn-Justin is famous for his contributions to quantum field theory. His work on the renormalization group, finite size effects, perturbation theory in high orders, gauge theories and the non-linear sigma-model have set the stage for much subsequent work on the interplay between theoretical particle physics and statistical physics. His investigation of matrix models has inspired the theory of quantum gravity.
