Nominator's project description

Professor Pamela Klassen is one of the leading scholars of the history and anthropology of Christianity in postsecular and pluralist societies. Her widely recognized research has moved from religion and healing to the encounter between missionaries and First Nations, exploring the intersections between Christianity, Canadian sovereignty, and Indigenous law. In Germany, Professor Klassen's research focuses on the role of religion in projects of public memory in the multicultural societies of Germany and Canada. Professor Klassen is hosted by Professor Monique Scheer from the University of Tübingen.
