Nominator's project description
Professor de Vries is an outstanding and extremely innovative scientist in the field of mass spectrometry and gas phase laser spectroscopy. With his new technique Professor de Vries was able to perform high resolution vibronic spectroscopy of DNA bases, base pairs, nucleosides and peptides - an old dream of spectroscopy coming true. During his stay in Germany, Professor de Vries focuses on laser spectroscopy of isolated biomolecular building blocks. |
