Nominator's project description

Professor Suwas is internationally well known for his outstanding research in the area of severe plastic deformation and crystallographic texture of materials. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of the deformation mechanisms in strongly deformed nanocrystalline materials. Professor Suwas worked on many processes of severe plastic deformation and evaluated the microstructure-texture-property correlation. During his stay in Germany, he intends to explore the saturation grain size in plastic deformation and its consequence on strength.
