Nominator's project description
| Professor Javidi is internationally recognized for his outstanding contributions in optical sciences and engineering as applied to information optics, image visualization, and information security. Much of his research has become the standard for optical systems for three dimensional (3D) sensing, visualization and processing of information, including information security. Professor Javidi has innovated new techniques for optical security systems, passive and active 3D object sensing, imaging, visualization, and processing, which have tremendous pay-off potential for commerce, industry, and medical fields. In Germany, he continues his research on "3D imaging and classification of biological microorganisms by digital holographic microscopy". |
