Nominator's project description
| Over a period of four decades Professor Carlo Di Castro constantly contributed seminal theoretical research work in the field of condensed matter physics. In particular, he played a key role in the development of the renormalization group theory of critical phenomena and in the theory of electron localization in disordered solids. As a Humboldt awardees, Professor Di Castro will continue his recent very influential work on high temperature superconductors and other unconventional metallic materials in collaboration with his hosts in Munich and Stuttgart. |
