Nominator's project description
| Professor Honold is internationally renowned for his outstanding and comprehensive research in intercultural German studies and comparative literature. He has made important contributions in the fields of postcolonial and travel literature, landscape aesthetics, the intermedial transfer of forms between literature and music and, more recently, historical and contemporary forms of nature writing. Professor Honold’s work combines close readings of important German-writing authors with a philosophically founded understanding of literature as a media of intercultural reflection and exchange. During his stay in Germany, he will continue his research on literary conceptions of space between national confinement and global dissemination. |
