Nominator's project description

Professor Bernd Stelzer is a leading particle physicist who made significant contributions to searches for new phenomena at the forefront of experimental particle physics. He developed and employed advanced analysis techniques that enabled the first observation of single top quarks and were utilized in the search and discovery of the Higgs boson. In Germany, Prof. Stelzer will continue his research on the ATLAS experiment at CERN and will work on particle detector research and development.
