Nominator's project description
| Professor Lee is a physicist and leading scholar in particle accelerators. His discoveries have had an impact on the design and operation of numerous accelerators around the world - some of the world's largest instruments in science with applications ranging from the structure of nuclei to deepen our understanding of the universe to the design of accelerators for tumor therapy. His pioneering work for the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider in Brookhaven and in nonlinear dynamics at the Indiana University Cooler Accelerator are the ground for his important contributions to the International FAIR project at GSI Darmstadt. |
