Nominator's project description
| Steen Hannestad is widely known for his forefront research in theoretical cosmology and astroparticle physics. Specifically he uses the ``heavenly laboratories'' of astrophysical observations to probe fundamental particle physics at conditions that can not be reached in the laboratory. He has been one of the driving forces in establishing a link between cosmology and neutrino physics, currently one of the hot topics in astroparticle physics. He plans to pursue this line of research further during his stay in Germany. |
