Nominator's project description
| Professor Riccardo Baribieri is a world expert in Theoretical Particle Physics. His many outstanding contributions span an unusual wide range of topics. A recurring theme of his work is the origin of the Higgs mass scale, which is believed to underlie all measured elementary particle masses. According to one of his most recent seminal papers, Higgs mass and supersymmetry breaking scale are set by the size of an extra dimension of space. Professor Baribieri will further pursue such ground -breaking ideas and their experimental and cosmological implications during his stay in Heidelberg. |
