Nominator's project description
| Professor Changchang Xi is known for his fundamental work on structure and representations of finite dimensional algebras. His contributions combine structural insight, technical virtuosity and leadership in investigating completely new and unknown territory with a strong interest in applications. Some of his most notable results are in the areas of Auslander Reiten theory and representation types, highest weight categories, homological conjectures, stable equivalences and cellular algebras. During his stay in Germany he is planning to continue and extend his abstract work on homological conjectures, and to develop and apply a structure theory for affine cellular algebras. |
