Nominator's project description
| The prize is awarded to Prof. Anthony J. C. Ladd for his ground-breaking and benchmark-setting contributions in computational fluid dynamics. Applied to colloidal suspensions and related systems, his novel approach provided a thorough and comprehensive understanding. Prof. Ladd's work is the basis for several new methodological developments which he plans to extend to various synthetic and biological macromolecular systems of high scientific and technological relevance during his stay in Germany. |
