Nominator's project description
| Professor Lu is known internationally for her work in the field of heterobimetallic chemistry. Her research has generated the first molecular examples of multiple metal-metal bonds between different first-row transition metals, which have advanced the understanding of their bonding, electronic structure, and properties. Professor Lu is also known for pioneering bimetallic active sites to use metal-metal interactions for tuning catalyst activity and selectivity. During her stay in Germany, Professor Lu will pursue new catalyst designs for functionalizing small molecules. |
